Maple Dijon Salmon with Bacon

They say salmon is good for your heart. Bacon makes our hearts happy. Why not both?

Maple Dijon Salmon with Bacon

    Ingredients

    • salmon filet - 1 1/2 lbs, skin-on
    • olive oil - 2 tbsp
    • salt - 1/2 tsp
    • pepper - 1/2 tsp
    • dijon mustard - 3 tbsp
    • maple syrup - 1 1/2 tbsp
    • bacon - 2 slices, cooked & crumbled

    Instructions


    1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
    2. Brush both sides of the fish with the olive oil.
    3. Whisk together the dijon and maple syrup. 4. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the salmon, then spread the entire top with the dijon mixture.
    5. Place the salmon on the grill, skin-side down.
    6. Grill for 12 to 14 minutes, or until fish is flakey and opaque.
    7. Remove and crumble bacon on top.
    8. Slice salmon into pieces and it should easily come away from the skin.
